Thoughts from the front

Why?

I have been an Oakland A's fan since 1987 and fr the first time EVER I am sad they one. Why because I decided that I was going to root for the Twins. I have become a huge fan of the Twins since I moved to the Twin Cities in 1999. They have progressed into one of the greatest franchaises in baseball. They build their club using a rather low budget and rely mainly on their farm clubs to develop their players to be able to compete in the majors. They due a fantastic job. However, I grew up a Mark McGwire and A's fan. I must say that NEVER again will I root for the Twins when the A's (or my favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals) are involved. Sorry Lizzie. I must address one final thing and that is Brad Radke. I admire a man who plays his entire career for one team. It is a rarity in sports these days for anyone to stay with one team. I wish more players, not to mention owners, would be faithful to the fans as well as the team. Thank you Brad for all of the memories, good or bad, that you have left us. You are truly one of the greatest of the game.
By the way Mandy, its on next year. Hats, ties and all. Long live the white elephant of baseball. Go A's! Oh and Liz, Mandy, how do you like my 3rd baseman now?
